MONGE VETSOLUTION RENAL AND OXALATE CANINE is a complete dietetic petfood for dogs formulated for the support of renal function in the case of chronic or temporary renal insufficiency. It is also formulated for the reduction of oxalate stones formation. Contains Nucleotides to support immune system, Green tea for renal support, Xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) to secure the intestinal microbiota and the formula is characterized by high quality proteins and restricted levels of phosphorus and crude protein, low level of calcium, low level of vitamin D, and urine alkalising properties.
Fit-aroma® in MONGE VETSOLUTION CANINE RENAL AND OXALATE contains green tea, characterized by polyphenols as the main active nutrient.It has been scientifically described how green tea polyphenols (epigallocatechin gallate – EGCG, catechins) are able to perform an antioxidant activity to neutralize free radicals. Catechins, through their activity, can limit cellular stress at the renal epithelium level, reducing the production of uremic toxins and nitric oxide (NO). In addition, green tea polyphenols help stimulate the glomerular filtration rate and contribute to increase the urinary volume diluting mineral concentration and crystal formation. It also decreases the excretion of urinary oxalate and limits the activities of γ-glutamyltrans- peptidase and N acetylglucosaminidase, both harmful for the urinary glycosaminoglycan layer protecting the urinary bladder epithelium. Simultaneously, the goal of reducing the formation of oxalate-based stones is supported by catechins through an antioxidant activity to neutralize free radicals on the urothelium that has been described to be able to limit the calcium oxalate precipitation in the urinary tract and reduces its excretion in predisposed animals.
Instructions for use:
It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or extending the period of use. Water should be available at all times. Feed 500 g daily for adult dog of 10 kg. Recommended lenght of time for use initially up to 6 months and two to four weeks for temporary renal insufficiency. To be served at room temperatures. Keep in refrigerator after opening and consume it within 24 hours.
